William Rolland "Rollie" Jones Sr., 72 of Galesburg, IL passed away Monday December 22, 2014, 5:12 pm at Cottage Hospital Galesburg, IL. He was born November 13, 1942, in Monmouth, IL the son of Harry and Sally Michael Jones. He married Pearl "Polly" A. Reathaford on February 29, 1964. He is survived by his wife of Galesburg, IL one daughter Barbara (Wayne) Saline of Rio, IL; one son Bill (Lonnie) Jones of Woodhull, IL; grandchildren Brooke Saline, Brett Saline, and Wolfgang Jones; two brother-in-laws Mike (Nancy) Reathaford, and Bob (Arlene) Reathaford; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 brother (Jim Jones), 1 sister (Jeanette Baker), and 1 niece (Elaine Corben) He coached Mercer County Junior Sheriff softball for over 20 years. He played fast pitch softball for many years. He was an avid Cardinal Fan. He raised draft and raised and raced standard bred horses. He worked for Burlington Northern in Galesburg, IL as a carman for many years. He was a member of the United Methodist Church of North Henderson. He was an Honorary member of the Westmer At Large Methodist Church Funeral service will be Saturday December 27, 2014, 10:00 am at the United Methodist Church of North Henderson. Visitation will be Friday eve December 26, 2014 5:00-7:00 pm at the Hoover Hall Funeral Home Alexis, IL. Burial will be in the Pope Creek Cemetery Seaton, IL. Memorials may be made in his memory.
