William “Bill” Simmons, 61, of Greenbush, IL passed away Saturday, September 21, 2019.  He was born in Avon IL the son of Dwight and Anna (Wallick) Simmons.  He married Nancy Treadway on March 9, 1978.

Bill is survived by his wife Nancy of Greenbush; children, Jeremiah (Amy) Simmons of rural Macomb, Jacob (Brenna) Simmons of Greenbush, Rebecca (Nick) Hunter of Greenbush and Emily (A.J.) Scott of Fairview; 14 grandchildren, Meg, Luke, Beth, Kate, Haylee, Anya, Jonny, Grace, Stella, Rhett, Vada, Lewis, Atlas, and Josephine.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Bill was raised in Greenbush where he has lived his entire life.  He was an avid John Deere collector and was a member of the Old Tyme Tractor Association.  He drove a truck for 32 years and he will always be remembered for the many phone calls to friends he made while on the road.

Memorial service will be Sunday, September 29, 2019 at 3:00 p.m. at the Wise Family Funeral Home Avon, IL. Visitation will be from 1:00-3:00 p.m. at the funeral home.  Memorials may be made to the William Simmons Memorial Fund.
