Willis "Ed" Edward Cox

Willis Edward “ED” Cox, 77 of Avon passed away February 12, 2021 at 8:45p.m. at his home.  He was born May 27, 1943 in Canton, IL, the son of Chester and Grace (Brown) Cox.

He is survived by his life partner of 49 years Janice Lowe; His children Lance Lowe and Lindsey Lowe.  Also surviving his sisters Pat Aden and Rebecca Cox.

Ed was preceded in death by his Parents, Brothers Robert and Dennis.

He served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam.  He worked at Maytag retiring after working there of 30 years.  He also worked for various farmers in the community area.  He was an avid Cardinal Fan.  Ed was a collector and loved going to auctions.  He loved to cruise the countryside at his slow pace and stop in at the local restaurants.

Funeral Service will be held Friday February 19, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at the Wise Family Funeral Home in Avon.  Visitation will be held Thursday evening February 18, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Funeral Home.  Burial will be in Abingdon Cemetery.  Memorials may be made to the Avon Fire Department for their First Responders.  Due to Covid-19 restrictions masked will be required and social distancing will be observed.  Online Condolences may be made at www.wisefamilyfuneralhome.com .
